HAPPY BUILDING OF OUR INDEPENDENT VANUATU!
At Erakor Community Bridge, we are making efforts to find ways of improving our environment and our lives, producing some products and services to our own community, for a start. We hope that, in the future, these can generate some income. Together, we have started:
1. Cleaning Emten (2nd) Lagoon;
2. We stopped burning plastic;
3. We are cleaning the land, separating plastic, tins and organic waste.
4. We are selling the tin and generating some little income;
5. We improved a canoe with a device to clean the Lagoon;
6. We share our concerns about the degradation of the 2nd Lagoon environment in on the Environmental Day conference 5th June 2017
7. With our Brains, Heart and Hands, and without spending a Vatu, we mobilised 23 schools, and major private companies to organised the Environmental Day 5th June 2018 with the theme beating plastic polution (2000+ citizens come to the streats of Port Vila from the airport to club hipique and Pango)
9. We are building and testing traps to collect plastic, using the currents of the tides;
10. We are testing the production of rope made of coconut husks fibres;
11. We plan to build a device to make plates and cups out of leaves, to substitute plastic disposable plates and cups;
12. We plan to melt plastic and use it to seal a few pot holes and see if it works;
13. We are promoting some awareness in our community on improving the quality of our water sources and We are sharing our positive experiences with other communities and learn from theirs Appropriate Technologies – a technological choice and applied in small-scale, decentralized, labor-intensive, energy-efficient, environmentally sound, and locally autonomous, to make life happier and easier.
These help us to avoid pollution, over exploit natural resources, so preserve the environment: the clean water, clean air, land, and improve our wellbeing.

15. We want to be partners of Vanuatu Institute of Technology to create a Green Business Incubator to create job opportunities to out People and help of Country to Transition to a Low Carbon Economy in Vanuatu
