Vanuatu is on the forefront of the fight of climate justice by pursuing the concept that there is a clear link between the Climate Crisis and Human Rights. The Vanuatu’s initiative to put forward a resolution to the United Nations General Assembly is very important for remind all members of the United Nations of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education.

It is important to consider that Humans are a unique ANIMAL species. Humans admire their own brain. They have  the capacity of proposing solutions on the good of the whole human species, ideas and concepts that define a brighter future for their own species, in spite of their cultural differences. Humans speak different languages, eat food with different flavors, listen to different music and live in different clans and territories. But have certainly things in common, for example the appetite to own property, material stuff, resources, to be rich and, if that was not enough, to fight for power. It is very common to observe Humans having pleasure in humiliating other individuals of the same species, a way to eliminate individuals from leadership positions. Even within their own clan, individual interests are above the interest of the group. This has become particularly evident in a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives, also called democracy. Groups of individuals who aim to be elected, argue between themselves. Most of the individuals passively observe until they choose and follow a leader. Usually for four years. The majority of the individuals fell the need to join the human ideologic currents,  having a position, and enjoying pseudo intellectual combats, a bit like discussing the performance of football team, without necessarily understand the reason, purpose or the direction of a debate. Nationalism is a effective technic to stimulate a ‘sense of a purpose without a real substance’. Borders was a fantastic human invention to divide Humanity to fell entitle to blame other humans for the state of the global affairs. Also a great deal of business opportunities, agents, visas, passports, tax heavens, cryptocurrencies & blockchains and associated green house gas emissions, tax evasion, net zero scams, carbon credits and easy money, deregulation, with a immense economic and personal costs for the humans in general. Political, economical refugees, forced migration of convicts, human traffic and slavery aggravated since the invention of the borders. Climate Refugees are now a new reality from which the Justice System have no definition which victims have no rights. Green House Gas emissions to the atmosphere and and Pollution spilled of transnational borders are never accounted within the borders or anywhere on the cost of the loss of Biodiversity and Public Health. No Country is responsible for this. Wealth was created by societies that work harder in competition to deplete Nature.

Most of the time, when there are conflicts between clans or territories, also called Wars, the real reason behind is simply leadership dispute between members within the same clan. Not so much the need to conquest the other territory, unless there is a strategic resource like oil, gas or minerals, clean water, clean air or land and forests to explore.

Humans in general consider themselves superior to other species. For the majority of the Humans, all other species exist to serve them. All other species, except cats and dogs, are all called by Humans as Natural Resources.

What is the meaning of Natural Resources? Something to be used and abused by Humans? If Natural Resources means Nature, so Humans exist to be exploited as any other species.

All other Planets beings – LIFE – and minerals exist, in the human brain / minds, to be used and abused. Humans act as they have super powers, humans fell like Gods over other species. For many, Land, Oceans and Atmosphere and even the Sky and the Universe exist to serve humans.

Most of the Humans aim to become managers. Managers plants, animals, rivers, lagoons, the Ocean, including its bottom, and even the Sky, there are no limits. When humans become Managers, they also manage other humans, they venerate their corporate leaders, the Chief Executive Officers, more that their own elected representatives. a CEOs accumulates personnel wealth. CEOs are special humans, they are the most productive humans in the Planet. The richest one, earns a salary 10.7bUSD per year, this excludes his personnel wealth. The equivalent 325,000 times more the average salary in his own country. A CEO earns in a year what 8300 managers earn in their full career of 40 years. This is absolutely adorable, and considered acceptable and fair the compensation of a Humans individual hard work. Human Justice.

This particular CEO is an inspiration of a new wave of ideas that inspire Humans towards their future, a kind of a new religion: Entrepreneurship is the act of being an entrepreneur, or the owner or manager of a business enterprise who, by risk and initiative, attempts to make profits. Entrepreneurs act as managers and oversee the launch and growth of an enterprise. Seems great! CEOs usually help leaders to be elected to represent humans in major critical and global decisions. These two particular categories of humans live in a perfect symbiotic relationship.

The Climate Crisis is the most important threat to the future of Humanity. The next two Conference of the Parties are going to be hosted and organized by two major fossil fuel world producers. The president of the next one used to be a CEO: The  Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, CBE (Arabic: سلطان أحمد الجابر, born August 31, 1973) is the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates,[1] managing director and group CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC Group),[2] chairman of Masdar, and the United Arab Emirates’ special envoy for climate change.[3] He is the President-Designate of the upcoming COP28 climate talks.

But there is a fundamental problem : The tragedy of the commons refers to a situation in which individuals with access to a public resource (also called a common) act in their own interest and, in doing so, ultimately deplete the resource.

…Psychopathy is a mental health condition characterized by persistent antisocial behavior, impaired empathy and remorse, and bold, disinhibited, and egotistical traits…

Human’s biggest weakness is do not realizing that they are part of Nature: one Ecosystem, one Planet. Humans and other 8.7 other  species live in Planet Earth.  Scientists have estimated that there are around 8.7 million species of plants and animals in existence. However, only around 1.2 million species have been identified and described so far, most of which are insects. This means that millions of other organisms remain a complete mystery.

It seems, that there is an inverse proportion between understanding of Nature and Ecosystems, and understanding the business of being elected to represent Humans.

After the World War II, the constitution of the United Nations provided Humanity with some Hope from which the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was an important milestone. Another Human achievement was The Paris Agreement is a legally binding international treaty on climate change. It was adopted by 196 Parties at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP21) in Paris, France, on 12 December 2015. It entered into force on 4 November 2016.

This is is an agreement between individuals, humans elected. They representing only one species, ignoring 8.7 million of other species of the Planet’s Ecosystem. The agreement it self do not consider the rights of other species or Nature has a whole. Nature is in trouble many species are disappearing due to the Human Activity. But Humans are in much more trouble than Nature. Millions of species will remain in the Planet, regardless or not of Humanity presence in the Planet.

Humans love success stories of other humans, whatever success means. Success seems to imply that a human is better than another human. A human who took the initiative to use Nature as a mean of gaining success, ignoring the Human condition as a World species. Yes, Humans  are just in the infancy of understanding that they are part of Nature. Exploiting Nature is another form of Human exploitation. Not considering Nature, in the race for profit is simply a collective suicide. A shot in your own foot.

BRAVE HUMANS WHO BELIVE IN NATURE AND JUSTICE TO PROTECT THE HUMANITY

World leaders seem to be hopeful to use technology that is not yet invented to save the Humanity. These seem to be excellent statements that make leaders elected survive 6 more months until the next elections.

Young generations seem to have a better a sense of Justice and are more attached to Nature. Nature is essential for Human survival. More than elected leaders, Children and Youth seem to be able to better understand. They don’t just better understand it but that act on behalf of humanity.
